Shropshire Brass Ensemble is delighted to be taking part in a very special festive afternoon at the beautiful and historic Pitchford Hall on Saturday 5 December 2026.
Organised by the English Haydn Festival, Christmas at Pitchford Hall promises a magical afternoon of music and carols in one of Shropshire’s most remarkable settings.
The afternoon begins at 3pm in the Orangery, where Shropshire Brass Ensemble will perform a selection of popular 18th-century carols, bringing the sound of brass to this wonderful historic venue.
We will be joined in the Orangery by Bel Canto, before a torchlight procession leads guests from the Orangery to the Main Hall.
From 4.30pm, the celebrations continue with a concert of Baroque music featuring the 18th Century Concert Orchestraand internationally renowned trumpet soloist Crispian Steele-Perkins.
The programme includes music by Corelli, Purcell, Handel, Bach and Helendaal, making this a wonderful opportunity to enjoy music associated with the period in the surroundings of one of Shropshire’s finest historic houses.
Guests can also enjoy a mince pie and a glass of punch, adding to what promises to be a wonderfully festive afternoon.
We are incredibly excited to be part of this event and to perform alongside such distinguished musicians. It promises to be a very special way to begin the Christmas season, and we would love to see some familiar faces there.
