Shropshire Brass Ensemble is incredibly proud of our very own Steve Pritchard-Jones, who, alongside his wife Teresa, is preparing to take on a huge challenge this October, walking approximately 132 miles of the Camino de Santiago.
Steve and Teresa will begin their ten-day journey in Portugal before crossing into Spain, all with the aim of raising £3,000 for three fantastic causes close to the hearts of people across Shropshire.
The money raised will be divided equally between:
Love from, George (Telford) – supporting families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby, providing wellbeing boxes in hospitals as well as ongoing support for bereaved families.
Shine On with Harvey Owen (Shrewsbury) – established in memory of Harvey Owen, who tragically lost his life at just 17. The charity helps young people explore and develop their creative potential through the arts.
Shropshire Round Table Lodge No. 9104 / Shropshire Masonic 2030 Festival – raising funds for the Masonic Charitable Foundation, with money supporting a wide range of causes including hospices, food banks, emergency services and community projects.
It’s going to be a serious test of stamina – 132 miles is quite a distance even without carrying a brass instrument! – and we know Steve and Teresa have been putting plenty of work into preparing for the challenge.
Even better, Top Note Ceremonies will cover the JustGiving platform fees, ensuring that 100% of donations go to the causes they are supporting.
