Shropshire Brass Ensemble enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of music at the beautiful Shrewsbury Quarry Bandstand, performing to a large and incredibly appreciative audience in glorious summer sunshine.
With the bandstand set against one of Shrewsbury’s most picturesque locations, the afternoon provided the perfect setting for an entertaining programme of music. From the opening notes to the final piece, the atmosphere was wonderful, with plenty of smiling faces, enthusiastic applause and a crowd that made the performance a real pleasure for the ensemble.
The band would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped to listen, stayed to enjoy the concert and supported the ensemble throughout the afternoon. Seeing so many people enjoying live brass music is always special and reminds us why performances like these are so rewarding.
Steve Prichard-Jones for the ensemble said:
“Playing at the Quarry Bandstand is always a real highlight. The weather was kind to us, the audience was fantastic and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. We’d like to thank everyone who came along and made it such a memorable afternoon.”
The performance continues a busy summer of engagements for Shropshire Brass Ensemble, and the musicians are already looking forward to their next event. On Thursday, the ensemble will be performing at the Armed Forces Business Event in Shrewsbury, where they are proud to support another important occasion celebrating the Armed Forces community.
Thank you once again to everyone who joined us at the Quarry Bandstand. We look forward to seeing you again at another Shropshire Brass Ensemble performance very soon.
